The Claddagh Bauble – The Claddagh ring, symbolizing love (heart), friendship (hands) and loyalty (crown), was first used as a wedding ring over 400 years ago in the tiny fishing village ‘the Claddagh’, in Galway city, Ireland.
Ireland Bauble – Ireland is famous for its hand-knit Aran sweaters made from the wool of these black-faced mountain sheep. The backbone of farming in Ireland, their bright cream coloured fleeces dot the green patchwork of fields throughout the land.
Irish Weave Shamrock Bauble – The three-leafed shamrock was used by St. Patrick to explain the Holy Trinity when he brought Christianity to Ireland in the 5th century A.D. Ever since, March 17th is celebrated as St. Patrick’s day.
Symbols of Ireland Bauble – Symbols of Ireland’s rich and ancient heritage include the shamrock and the high cross which mark the arrival of Christianity to the island. The harp was on the coat of arms of the King of Ireland as early as the 13th century and the claddagh wedding ring dates from over 400 years ago.
